1. Data controller
OCEANPULSE YACHTS W.L.L, Office 209, Building 60, Road 1701, Block 317, Diplomatic Area, Kingdom of Bahrain is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain, promulgated by Law No. (30) of 2018 (“PDPL”), and its implementing resolutions.
2. Data we collect
General enquiry: name, email, subject and message.
Owner application: name, email, yacht name, length, year built, flag, location, services needed and notes.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and time of visit recorded in standard server logs for security.
3. Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal at your request; to take steps before entering into an agreement with you; to meet legal obligations; and to protect the security of the website. We process form data on the basis of your consent, given with the checkbox on the form, and where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before concluding a contract.
4. No sale, limited sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and email (hosting, email delivery), with professional advisers, or with authorities when required by law. Providers act on our instructions and must protect the data.
5. Transfers outside Bahrain
If personal data is transferred outside the Kingdom of Bahrain (for example, to a hosting or email provider), we do so only as permitted by the PDPL — to countries with an adequate level of protection, with appropriate safeguards, or with your consent.
6. Retention
Enquiries and applications that do not lead to an agreement are kept for no longer than 24 months and then deleted. Data related to a signed agreement is kept for the term of the agreement and the period required by law. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPL you may request access to your personal data; request correction, blocking or erasure of inaccurate or unlawfully processed data; object to processing, including for direct marketing; and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain (www.pdp.gov.bh).
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections, access control and limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
9. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your language choice is stored only in your browser (local storage) so that the site opens in the same language next time.
10. Children
The website is not intended for persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
